The fact of the matter is that the Mini is a powerful computer in a compact design. will at least give you more headroom on the boost clock side of thermals. Simply stripping the current paste (for example, if you're doing a RAM upgrade at the same time) and applying a higher-end variant from Arctic Silver, Crynonaut, etc. It has been shown, at least by a few YouTube reviewers, that the stock thermal paste can cause the Mini to thermal throttle its boost clock performance on certain workloads. In all honesty, the other replies here are not accurate.
